Resending the issue with some more details ..

Now http://proxy1.example.com poniting to 10.0.0.1 without any
problem. But is it possible to do, http://proxy1.example.com needs to
point to http://10.0.0.1/Subfolder1/ .

Also the backend server has a redirection inside like
http://10.0.0.1/subfolder1/ to http://10.0.0.1/C/D/index.html. Hope
this redirection will be reflected back thru reverse proxy. rt ?
