Hello again,

Here is the cache.log from a squid-2.6.STABLE5-20061116 built with a
stock "./configure".

So grab the latest squid-2.6.stable release, and build with
./configure
make
make install

And you still get the same error, more or less.
In previous builds, I had tried disabling "epoll" since as you can see
below, it is EPOLL failing to access file descriptor 13.

I am wondering, is there a device node or socket that needs to be
chowned to the squid user?
