Not by the squid-cache.org developers. We only maintain the latest
STABLE release.

But there is many binary vendors actively maintaining their 2.5
releases..

In 2.6 yes, and many times a bugfix for 2.6 backports fine to 2.5 with
little or no effort.

Some times a backported security fix to an earlier release is given back
to the squid-cache.org developers, in which case we may publish it for
the older version. But it is not automatically done.
