Hi

I am using following configuration
=================

auth_param basic /usr/local/squid/libexec/ncsa_auth
/etc/squid/passwd
auth_param basic realm Squid proxy-caching web server
auth_param basic children 5
auth_param basic concurrency 0
auth_param basic credentialsttl 7200 seconds
auth_param basic casesensitive off
=====================

Here are the results from Cache Manager
=======================
Basic Authenticator Statistics:
program: /usr/local/squid/libexec/ncsa_auth
number running: 5 of 5
requests sent: 10040
replies received: 10040
queue length: 0
avg service time: 8.16 msec
FD PID Requests Pending Flags Time Offset Request
1 265 15197 1864 0 0.000 0 (none)
2 281 15198 2 0 0.000 0 (none)
3 319 15199 0 0 0.000 0 (none)
4 394 15200 0 0 0.000 0 (none)
5 421 15201 0 0 0.000 0 (none)
  Flags key:
     B = BUSY
   C = CLOSING
   S = SHUTDOWN

auth_param basic blankpassword off
==================================

95% of the times just first process is overloaded. Why
is this program
not distributing the load equally among all.
Is there any way to do this?

Regards
Paresh
