[squid-users] DEAD Parent loop

  does anybody know what can cause such a problem:
ive set up squid with parent proxy and disabled direct connection. it
works fine but if parent proxy goes offline
it puts into cache.log lines:

TCP connection to 192.168.1.1/8080 failed
(about 20 lines)
then

Detected DEAD Parent: 192.168.1.1

and than

2007/07/03 23:35:15| Failed to select source for
'http://inf.usmga.org/manual.html'
2007/07/03 23:35:15| always_direct = -1
2007/07/03 23:35:15| never_direct = 1
2007/07/03 23:35:15| timedout = 0

url is what i try to access from my browser

after that even if proxy recovers, squid still puts into cache.log
