try this,
whit lvm mounted on /var/spool/squid

chown squid:squid /var/spool/squid
chown squid:squid -R /var/spool/squid/*

chmod 744 /var/spool/squid
chmod 744 -R /var/spool/squid/*

maybe this can work :)
