That's fine. As long as you don't forget that the Fedora version you are
using is outside any support.

The only change you need to minimally make there is to decide for the
size of the cache. Just look for the directive, there is an example
ready for you.

Which is not very easy to accomplish with a proxy compared to Firefox
safe browsing mode.

Ok. But NAT accomplished the same thing.

For that you need a virus scanned. Squid can use clamav (via c-icap).
But look into that once you have the basic setup completed. c-icap is
not yet packaged for Fedora but indend to get that done for Fedora 14
however.
