What a lame question ! sorry I guess I should rtfm :)
All I had to do was to comment out the line that pointed to the ftp
program in the squid.conf

Now lets see who long it will stay up.

Anyone else having these problems ?

Are most of you runnig FreeBSD ?

Any linux users ?

thanks

Is there any way to disable the ftp capablitys in squid ?
I fell back to version 1.b8 and I am still unable to get squid to run for
any length of time, I am now getting the errror

[29/May/1996:23:29:01 -0700] ftpget: ERROR: ftpget.c [2308]: read: (95)
Operation not supported on transport endpoint

squid then dies.

Any ideas ?
Thanks
