Connection refused under heavy load

Hi,

I am using Squid 1.1.10 and Linux kernel 2.0.30. When simulationg heavy load
using the tcp-banger.pl script I get the error "connection refused" when
simulating a large number of connections (10000). "netstat -a" shows a lot
of TCP connections as "TIME_WAIT".

I guess a parameter in the kernel configuration has to be tuned to allow
more connections. I just don't know which one is it and where to find it.

Any suggestions?
