I just start squid from my inittab with the respawn option as of a couple
of days ago. I changed this basicly as a cleanout of the startup
procedure, not because I have ever had problems with it. (I had squid
running for about 4 months non-stop without it dying)

Anyway, this is a way to make sure it keeps running, even when it dies.
