Hi,
The TERENA small project "Extended Cache Statistics" has just finished. It
contains a configurable log file analyzer for the native format, and means
to put the results into a relational database - scripts for Oracle and
PostGres are included. Also, there is a prototypical implementation for a
graphical web frontend to the data. Alternatively (or simulataneously) a
calamaris-like textual output is generated.
If you are interested, you may have a look at the project's page:
http://www.cache.dfn.de/DFN-Cache/Development/Seafood/
and at the prototypical user interface:
http://www.rvs.uni-hannover.de/people/voeckler/sel.cgi
(you must select at least one host before submitting)
<you do see when the semester starts...>
If you want to read on the design, implementation, configuration and odd
ends, I would suggest the deliverables 1, 2.3, 3 and 4 in that order. A
later deliverable may correct some projections made in an earlier
deliverable. Only grab the freshest piece of software (top of table 2).
The software is known to work on Solaris 2.6, Irix 6.2 and Linux glibc2
platforms.
