Hi..
Thanks for the tip but I have tried 2.2.17 and it is not detecting SMC card
although I have enabled it the option while compiling the new kernel.
But I did not use moduler support can it be the problem???

Some more indications of the problem are...
When NIC stop responding then I restart /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart
then it NIC start working but squid don't except any request from client...
