[squid-users] 2.5 and ftp problems

Hi all,
Since moving to 2.5 I have had a two problems, the first was that pages that
required logins could not be fetched, this was solved with and "never_direct
allow troubles", where the acl for "troubles' defines a file with the
problem url's.

The second problem I am ahving is to do with ftp downloads, especially today
from ftp.techrepublic.com. I am getting time outs and DNS errors when I try
to download a file.

Our ISP has a Squid proxy on our firewall that we use as a parent it is 2.3,
if I bypass my Squid and go direct to theirs it works fine, so the problem
seems to be inmy config. I ahve tried every combination of never_direct and
always_direct with this specific site to no avail. I have:

acl FTPDownloads proto ftp
http_access deny FTPDownloads PUT

and further down the list:

http_access allow FTPDownloads ***this one I added today to try and resolve
the probelm.

Any further clues would be appreciated.
