Probably a routing issue still.. or a problem with your satellite
connection for larger packets.

What does netstat report for the connection? Is it stuck in SYN_SENT,
or has the connection been ESTABLISHED?

Try pinging from the DVB address with larger packets. Verify with
tcpdump that the packets really come back with the intended
destination IP address.

Another note: You can set up the source address to use in a route by
using the "ip route .." command instead of the older "route ..."
command.
