Re: [squid-users] filedescriptors help

Sorry Adam, but do not understand what is going on, besides, I have very little
knowledge on this matter.

By a telnet sesion I did a "ulimit -a, and got this:

[root@ns4 root]# ulimit -a
core file size (blocks, -c) 0
data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited
file size (blocks, -f) unlimited
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) unlimited
max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited
open files (-n) 8192
pipe size (512 bytes, -p) 8
stack size (kbytes, -s) 8192
cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited
max user processes (-u) 4032
virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited
[root@ns4 root]#

But at same time logged to another telnet sesion, the same system displays this:
[root@ns4 root]# ulimit -a
core file size (blocks, -c) 0

file size (blocks, -f) unlimited

max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited

Could you please tell me why ?
