Hello,
I have looked at squid's cache.log and sees log below. Internet explorer is
sending domain name and user information domain\username@machine_name
format.
How We can disable this option or any solution?
Login for user [DOMAIN]\[USERNAME]@[MACHINE_NAME] failed due to [winbind
client not authorized to use winbindd_pam_auth_crap. Ensure permissions on
/usr/local/samba/var/locks/winbindd_privileged are set correctly.]
Thanks and best regards.

Subject: [squid-users] Samba + Squid +LDAP authentication and Internet
Explorer problem
Hello all,
I use Samba-3.0.4 ve squid-2.3.STABLE4 on RedHat Linux Fedora Core 1. I have
configured samba(used / seperator in smb.conf for winbind) and squid. I
joined domain with samba's net join command. There is no any problem until
here.
After than this process I have tried to authenticate squid with opera
browser and it was absolutely successfull(domain/username format). But there
is a big trouble when i try to authenticate squid with Microsoft Internet
Explorer. I can't authenticate with / seperator because Internet Explorer
doesn't support / seperator format.
I tried + seperator but it has failed because Internet Explorer can't
support + seperator format, I tried \ seperator and failed because Internet
Explorer can't support \ seperator format(I couldn't understand? t's
Microsoft's domain and username seperator format), I tried \\ seperator and
I authenticate from opera with domain\username format, but still can't
authenticated with Internet Explorer.
Does anybody have any idea about this problem?
Thanks and best regards
